“ We went here for an early dinner. Sat outside in blissful, shady desert heat. We had the bruschetta, filet mignon and chicken picatta. Every dish was superb and service was attentive and quick. We'll be back. Samuel our server was awesome. ”
“ Open on Thanksgiving and as usual, the food is excellent. Our server Davis is outstanding. Friendly, engages in conversation while working. He goes above and beyond for everyone. Thanks David. Blessings to you, Mom and Cody! ”
“ We went about 130 pm and got the lunch menu. Only a few customers there. The food was perfect. And if you want a perfect tiramisu, La Locanda is unmatched! Clean establishment, good service, and the management took a few minutes to chat with us. Prices are quite reasonable and all you need to do is ask! I requested the chef special. They don't have one, so the chef put together a chicken Alfredo with a slight tang for perfect balance with again "the perfect Al dente"... In 50 years I have not had the pleasure of that textural element, even in "high end" restaurants. Eat here. Period. Oh... The coffee? Lay down Starbucks. I'll come here just for that. If you fancy yourself a foodie, add this one to your list. The top of your list. And I won't even go into the succulent dinner offerings. Enjoy! ”
“ Really tasty food and great service. Gnocchi was wonderful and delicious. Chicken Marsala had great flavor. Drinks were good. ”
“ Simple Italian eatery. Let me start by saying I am a retired chef of 14 years owning an Italian restaurant. Spent 6 weeks traveling throughout Italy last year with my wife eating at dozens of restaurants, some Michelin starred. While La Locando will not impress you, it will also not disappoint you if you know exactly what you're going in for. The food was fresh, generous portions and simple but tasty. First, the calamari, it was fresh and tender with a clean tomato sauce and lemon wedge. Next, we had four cheese ravioli, easy-going, and cooked al dente with a nice, flavorful, more rich tomato sauce. We followed with a chicken parmigiana that was made well and satisfied. Then a light, creamy shrimp & penne pasta in alfredo sauce. Tiramisu and Panna cotta for dessert were delicious and some very tasty espresso. We enjoyed everything and wouldn't hesitate to return. Price is according to the fact that it's in Old Town Scottsdale ( read, touristy, and kitch). Service was very good, and ambiance is not pretentious. Ignore the reviews that slam this delightful little spot. They're snobs who want to act like everything should be the Ritz. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a satisfying place to fill your belly! Mangia! ”
“ Simple Italian Eatery. Serves a variety of large portioned meals to cater to a variety of diets, including plant based. Our family ordered all different meals and had the same consensus: fresh and delicious meals with friendly and fast service. Highly recommend to those who are out and about in Old Town looking for a great lunch. ”
“ Excellent food! My wife had the penne pesto and I had the blackened salmon! Both dishes prepared perfectly! Service was on spot! ”
“ Update*** The menu has changed drastically. It’s uber bright in there now. I assume they’re under new owners or management. The lunch menu is very different from the dinner menu. One of the very few italian restaurants I love in Arizona. ”
